Let's Start Caregivers | Let's Start Youth Group | "Stories of Hope" | How can I help? | Partnerships | Let's Start the Bus

The Let’s Start Youth Group began in 1997. It was formed to offer support to the young women whose mothers have either been incarcerated or used drugs. It is unique in that it is coordinated by the young women themselves.

These teenagers face a number of challenges: daily life at home, school and work; peer pressure; and relationships. They are faced with the trials of being a young adult which can often leave them feeling alone and frustrated.

What we do…

" We’ve been through it all.
The Good and the bad.
We still maintain whether we’re
Happy or sad

We shed tears here and there
We are there for each other
Because we really care

This group can help you
The same way it has helped me
If you come to group, you will see

We’ve been together for so long
And still every Tuesday group is
Still going strong

So don’t be afraid to come to our group
Because if you stay, we’ll remember you."

- Tamara Dodd, Youth Group
