Let’s Start the Bus is designed to help continue the work of Let’s Start. This work includes a bus trip to Vandalia Women’s prison for children of incarcerated women and for the children’s caregivers. The trip occurs 4 times a year.

We created Let’s Start the Bus as an effort to help organize some fundraising events in the community to raise money to help continue the bus trips to the prison.  

How you can help “Start the Bus?

  • Sponsor a fundraiser at your church or your school
  • Bring in a Let’s Start speaker to your church or school to educate the kids and community of this important issue.
  • Create a partnership with your kids and the kids of Let’s Start.
  • Send monetary support to Let’s Start designated for the bus trip
  • Volunteer to attend the bus trip to the prison with the children and their caregivers ( they take place 4 times a year on Saturdays)
